We Are Here To Help!
I'm taking a break from our regular routine here at My HAPPI Place, the HAPPI Manor and the HAPPI Bean because I want to touch base with you and your heart.
First, we are thinking about you. We hope that you, your family, and loved ones are safe. The COVID-19 is being followed close by many. We know for some of you there are feelings of confusion, fear, anxiety, and overwhelm.
I’m here to help.
We feel it is important to maintain daily life and continue to operate as normal as possible. I'm determined to do my part increasing the positive to decrease the negative.
For the past week, I've connected with my team, community and loved ones to keep life in perspective. My goal is to help transform panic into H-A-P-P-I. Here are some steps we have found beneficial. May these tools support you as well.
Honesty: Check in with what is actually true for you and your family right here and now. Is everyone actually healthy or healing? Can we see adventures and opportunities in the circumstances?
Appreciation: Look around. There is always something to be grateful for. I've had the privilege of serving individuals with illness. They are choosing appreciation because they understand its healing power.
Plant Some Positivity: Be mindful of what is being planted into your mind through social media, news and emails. This isn't about pretending or putting our heads in the sand. This is about becoming conscious of what we plant in our mind.
Perform An Act Of Kindness: Leave a kind message or text. Make someone laugh. Share positive email. Choose to think about someone else. What act can you perform that might brighten another's day.
Intentional Routines: Many are now working from home. Some have their kiddos 24/7. Establishing a new intentional routine for your days is a game changer. This structure will help create a sense of stability and certainty for the next days ahead.
I'm 100% certain that if we pull together, we can alter the impact that this season has on our lives. Even within crisis lies choices to grow stronger, wiser, resilient, and yes-HAPPI.
My HAPPI Place, the HAPPI Manor and the HAPPI Bean are putting together some blog posts over the next few days to:
* Highlight some good things happening.
* Share resources we use that can help you or someone you know.
* Spread positive ideas that become contagious for healing.
While no one knows how the next few weeks will play out. We here at team HAPPI promise to keep showing up for you and sharing life with you.
In the meantime, be safe and take really good care of yourself. Support each other with as much HAPPI as possible.
